In a fusion of art direction and AI, I embarked on an exploratory journey with this project. I introduced Iris, a fictional character deeply intertwined with the narrative. Iris's story unfolds as she conducts a poignant interview with her goddaughter, Anna, revealing the life and identity of Annie McFarland, her real identity.
This project reveals the deeper meaning from her life’s work. It seeks to reimagine Iris's creations in fresh contexts with a deeper meaning. As Iris passes the baton to her goddaughter, this collaborative effort aims to invite others to partake in Iris's artistic journey.

/ THE INTERVIEW
Before her passing, Iris sat with her goddaughter, Anna, for an interview. Anna was the designer entrusted with the mission of unveiling Iris's true identity and introducing her book and art to the world.
/ MEDIA PLACEMENTS
Announcements of Iris's passing begin with media placements across traditional channels featuring obituaries that highlight Iris's life's work.
As the news begins to spread, radio stations like the BBC in London will pick up the announcement of Iris's passing.
/ MURALS & OUT OF HOME
Murals will emerge in public spaces, displaying Iris's extensive body of artwork and photography published throughout her lifetime, each bearing her distinctive signature. These murals will be prominent in libraries, on city walls, and other communal areas.
/ INTRODUCING 'THEORY' BOOK
Now comes the launch of Theory, a book detailing Iris's work and creative processes. All proceeds from Theory will go to benefit public arts education, a cause Iris advocated for her entire career.
/ 'THEORY' AS EXPERIENTIAL
To immerse people further into Iris's creative process, 'Theory' galleries will open to the public. These galleries will showcase never-before-seen artwork, behind-the-scenes visuals of Iris, and recordings captured before her passing.
/ PROCESS & REFLECTIONS
I dove into 'Iris,' a narrative storytelling project diverging from my typical coursework. To push boundaries, I ventured into using generative AI for some imagery, blending it with my photography and design style. This endeavor demanded persistence and creativity, as I sought to infuse a narrative arc into the project through AI and personal style. As part of an ongoing journey, I'm currently developing a screenplay and honing my writing skills, with the aspiration of expanding 'Iris' into something bigger.
Embarking on 'Iris' challenged me to fuse technology and creativity in new ways. It tested my ability to integrate campaign elements into a cohesive narrative and pushed me to explore new avenues of storytelling. Through this process, I've discovered the power of blending AI with my own passions, opening doors for me to infuse new technologies in my future work.
